I make it a point never to watch tv until after 8 pm and then it's usually a movie.

I can't stand daytime tv...just a load of American propoganda and values.

BTW, Canadian Idol rocks (I do watch that!)...all the talent is up here man. No comparison to that soap opera that just finished in the States.

Yeah but Joseph, people don't use the INTERNET for anything intelligent or progressive (just look at what you get in here) so unfortunately, it's even worse than TV which at least is regulated.

For sure I could ditch it . I mainly use it to play DVD's . I prefer talk-radio ; but I wouldn't blame TV for those fat ; couch potatoes . I blame the parents for not sending them out to play ; or for not putting them in a sport . Kids are not in charge of their lives and without proper guidance - some will do whatever - whether it's good for them or not . They need to encourage fun things that get them away from the TV .

Taurus. I got unwell and had lots of study, but since beginning of last year I was making myself do 300 push ups, 500 situps, 200 weight repitions (the weights were, I dunno, but were two large wheels for each weight, and weight a ton, but not after I used them for a bit, light as a feather. V-sit-ups. I used to do it whenever I could - in the morning, afternoon, at night. Lol, then life went a bit haywire. I've started slowly, doing some exercise classes and trying to build it back up again. It's winter here so everyone just feels like curling up into a warm ball. =) So, yes and no, health freak, but at the moment couch potato. The good thing is my last massive workout shows under my shirt. XD

Yup. -But the reality IS; TV is no longer most people's biggest time consumer, anymore. It's the Computer & the Internet. There's nothing on the Television you can't get Online +1. The television is in the process of "morphing" in with the Online World...

It's not so much the t.v. per se -- it's the amount of time spent on their @sses. Not only is t.v. a sedentary activity, but it promotes snacking. I.e. more calories, less calorie burning = fat.

65% of America is OVERWEIGHT!

Most of you are overweight!

All of us need to move around more.
