what is it with guys and sports? its a sterotype and since not all women love shoes just like not all guys are obsessed w/sports, its kind of a pointless question. that said....
im one of the guilty ones that does love shoes and why...i dont know. theyre cute, what can i say? and a pair of 4 inch stilettos can make you feel instantly sexy (as opposed to wearing sneakers with that little black dress)

I wondered what it was about shoes for years myself. And then I got a job that allowed me a little spending money and all of a sudden they started to look really fun.
Now, your shoe size does change over the years (yes siree - your ears, nose and feet continue to grow throughout your life, although very slowly!) but not as often as your dress size does!
Any woman who is frusterated with the sizing on her dresses knows the power of putting on an amazing pair of sexy shoes. It can absolutely change your day if you're feeling bloated and ugly to put on a new pair of heels or sandals... And much cheaper than an illegal drug habit!
A great pair of shoes show off the calf muscle, makes a woman stand with her chest out and ultimately attracts attention to her. What woman doesn't want that?
As long as I can wear cute shoes I will. Believe me, every woman I know over 55 or so can no longer wear cute, sexy high heels. Their bodies just can no longer handle the undue pressures on the foot.
Now - Let's get to Shoe Pavillion or DSW girls! Oh wait! Nordstrom is having their annual sale - let's go there!!!

Women tend to be vulnerable to whatever people in the fashion industry tell them. If they tell them they need shoes the color of their dress, they try to match every dress with a pair of shoes. If they say this shoe is stylish, they need that type of shoe. They can't wear black shoes in the summer nor white shoes in the winter. The correct heel height is a must also. Regardless of how bad their feet hurt.
The shoe companies have just created themselves an unending source of profit.

Well, I could go into the whole "shoes as phallic symbols" theory, but then again, I think women just love shopping in general, and shoes are a fun thing to buy!

Sort of like, what is it with men and cars? As long as it isn't overboard, this is a pretty (PUN) benign taste that most women have. It's usually cheaper than a fast, gas guzzling car, or a lot of the other things that men are into.
Women have taste & they know that a lot of men are into the way their feet look, but a lot of them would buy nice shoes if there were no men to look at them.

For me it's all about comfort and variety...the shoe makes or breaks the outfit. So, I like to have as many options as possible when getting ready. Sometimes I dress from the shoe up. Also, sexy high heels make us stand up straighter and our legs look thinner and more muscular.

What is it with ANYONE and shoes! What's the first thing you say when you take off your shoes??? Pretty much it's......ahhh....that feels good!! If that's the case, why the hell do people wear them in the first place??? And they're unhealthy as all get out. Go figure.....

Shoes are fabulous and beautiful. There are so many styles and colors for every occasion. You wouldn't wear sneakers with your nice tailored suit, would you?
Shoes can be worn and kept for a long time, and They will always fit no matter what happens to my size. So on a practical level, I think their cost can be justified.

Women, like to impress other people, while men are fine with just one or two pairs (dressing up and normal pairs). Most of us like to have a lot of shoes for if we go out or something, while men don't usually prefer to go out. They just sit at home and watch T.V. ;-)

I wear shoes/boots because I have to. I spend ONLY what I HAVE to on shoes. I would rather put my money to more interesting things.
