Personally I hate cable. I currently have Dish and love it. Cable television is always higher than satellite. The most basic package for dish is about $19.99 without locals.

I used to have Comcast, but now have Dish. with comcast, I got local weather stations. now I get stations that are farther south and am never sure what my weather will be like. I go online to a local station to find out. also, when the weather is bad, I lose signal. so if a hurricane is coming, I won't know what's happening unless I can go online to see. hopefully, I'll still have power. when the weather is good, dish is the better deal. you can pay about the same for lots more channels.

Depends on the cost structure in your area. Your weather will play a factor on it also. I terminated my dish account due to unsatisfactory service and a continual service interruption due to inclement weather.
I do have friends that swear by dish and love it.
I would go with the tried and true cable service. If you are not getting HD then you don't need boxes for every set in the house, but with dish you need 1 box for every 2 sets.

Dish cash wise....comcast internet speed....

If you just want cable go with dish, if you want cable and internet go with comcast, unless dish internet is available in your area, it's not in mine, so I have dish for cable and sbc for internet.
