Most Women's Studies at universities are actually called Women and Gender Studies, but "gender studies" refers more to theory and abstract thinking about gender than it does to "men shouldn't have to pay child support" or whatever other problems MRAs have.
Also, I have no clue how men could possibly be negatively impacted by the women's movement, unless you mean the removal of privileges which were unfair in the first place.

I fully support the change. I find it insulting that it is called women's studies to begin with as that implys (and probably more correctly than we'd like) that it is an area of study ONLY for women, not just that it is the study of women's issues. I find the idea of feminism insulting because it necessarly implys a seperation of women and men and a "seperate but equal" ideology. If history teaches anything, we should all know what a failed policy that is. I firmly belive that the reason the civil rights movement was a success was because it was the CIVIL rights movement, not the black rights movement. Women would do well to take a page from that book. As long as women pursue equality through a "seperat but equal" path, it will never be reached. We need to throw out our ideas about what "woman" and "man" mean in any terms other than anatomical. If we can push for our equal rights as humans, and defend our rights as humans, rather than women, we might just stand a chance.

You have NO clue?
Come on. Let's take a look at schools that pay more attention to girls than boys. Let's take a look at false rape charges. How do you think the whole "the woman never lies" idea came about?
Feminism shouldn't be blamed for a lot of things that are thrown at it, but let's put things in perspective here.
In any event, Gender Studies would be a great idea. One pretty much can't complain about a neutral name.

I hate to sound negative, but too many studies get government financing and tend to be nothing more that a few people making a killing from saying this is the way we think it is and then putting together a few selected facts to prove it. The facts that don't fit the intended outcome are disregarded.

because of the fact there is meant to be a father there to stability out the female habit and be a place form for boys. Feminism form of destroyed the family participants unit and now we've a set of indignant single mothers badmouthing men to their toddlers because of the fact daddy left or is in the back of in toddler help money.

shouldnt gender studies incorporate both men and women since they are genders? it's not that i am for or against, it's just seems that's what gender means. if it's the meaning then i dont agree, women's studies should be apart because if you look at history it was always based on men and when a woman doesnt sometihng extraordinary she would be mentioned. women's studies should be seperate...i dont know if you understand what i'm saying?

I completely support such a conversion. We already discuss issues that involve both men and women, and occasionally transgender issues as well. A more inclusive cateogry title would be more accurate.
And if it helps deter the incessant questioning " Why is there no men's studies?" so much the better.

Yes, I think that this is great. "Gender Studies" is more accurate anyway, since you can't really study the role and rights of women without talking about men, and vice-versa. I think it's an idea whose time has come.

Do the men need a different category? I guess if they need one, but I'd rather keep it as Womens Studies.
