the new version of King Arthur and Excalibur

Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail is good for comedy purposes. However, the very best King Arthur movie ever was Excaliber. It was poorly filmed - almost to the point of looking amateur, but the storyline followed the legend of Arthur closer than any other film ever covering the subject.

Excalibur, King Arthur (which wasn't that great), First Knight. Those are the only ones I can think of aside from disney's sword in the stone which wouldn't qualify for an answer to this question.

John Boorman's Excalibur in my opinion one of the best renditions of the King Arthur story
