Everyone seems to misinterpret this song. It doesn't mean "my hips are sexy" or anything like that. "My hips don't lie" is a phrase she likes to use with her band - it means "If my hips aren't shaking, the song isn't good enough." Or, on the flip side, it means "I can tell this is a good song, because it's making me shake my hips."

In the song "Hips don't lie," she's talking about a guy. It means "My hips are telling me that we have chemistry together, and I want to dance with you." Or if you think about it in another way, it could be all about nookie.

It should make more sense now when you look at the lyrics:

Oh baby, when you talk like that
You make a woman go mad
So be wise, and keep on reading the signs of my body

I'm on tonight, you see my hips don't lie
And I'm starting to feel it's right
All the attraction, the tension
Can't you see, baby, this is perfection?

The motion of her hips, while she's dancing, isn't just a tease. She's really that hot.
