People complain if we do, then they complain if we do not step in to help

That is what happens when you are the most powerful and influential country in the world

Its funny I just read a question that asked why so many people hate the USA ...this might be the answer because they think they should be GOD to all !!
The USA can not even police themselves !!
Begin in your own back yard first !!! Ghettos ?? what about kkk trailer park areas as well ...drive by hispanic gang areas as well is more than one neighbourhood and sub culture the USA should police first

No, for the fact is now with this No Fly policy put into motion (Started by the US) There are wrongfully named people, for god knows only reason can't step on a plane!
Over 90.000 names alone in the USA.
You are not even told you maybe one of them UNTIL you pay your ticket go to boarding/ signing in AND buzzer goes off.
Sorry your not going anywhere.
Now Canada just followed pursuit (AS always when comes to the states). Making it impossible for the Innocent person to fly from point A to B!!!
Now what if you have the same name as the real terrorize has??
So my answer is NO mind your own affairs.

Policing?.... well it depends. I say that if there is mass genocide or some other terrible misdoing and it is a problem that can be solved realitively fast, then we should go in. I do however think our money is much better spent, in the ghettos of America or the AIDS ravaged countries in Africa. At least there our help is wanted.

The world should be policing the USA. How does that strike you? It doesn't sound so good when it's turned around and this is how the world feels about our sticking our nose into other's business.

No. i think the u.s should stay out of the foreign countries business. i think its what George washington didnt want u.s to do but look at the u.s now. i bet hes disappointed how this country turned out and i wonder what God would think of this country. this country needs to be ship-shaped and get rid of all the corrupt government and scam governers and bring in governments who care about the people and who care about safety. there are more disadvantages then advantages 1.War in iraq is doin no good sure we got saddam but what the hell is that suppose to do make the war better and safer and we are getting dominated over there by terrorists and we are wasting so much time and lifes over there. 2.Prices are going up especially Gas another disadvantage from the iraq war 3.we are spending trillions and trillions of dollars on a war we might not even win and we should be saving and sending to countries who need it and to citizens in the u.s who need it.

No.

Should the USA have an isolationist foreign policy?

Also no.

Can you reconcile those two 'no's? Not really.

Politics is the art of compromise, and international politics is much harder than internal politics.

Ideally no, unless the interests and securities of other nations affect us, then the USA must exert leadership.

Only in the areas where results benefit the world. We need to
be constructively involved because we are a part of it and it
is getting smaller and smaller. Good question.
