What do you prefer dogs or cats? Give a description of why.?

I love them both, but have always been more of a cat person, and they still win.

It's a bit hard to say why - maybe it depends on which you were brought up with as to whether you're a 'cat person' or a 'dog person' (I grew up with a cat of course) but I suppose I just appreciate cat's 'attitude' - real or perceived! I do like how loyal and friendly dogs are, and puppies are amazing, but I just feel more honoured when a cat chooses to show me affection! And I guess I think cats are cuter! They smell nice.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone raised with cats and dogs, to see which they prefer!

I have both and prefer the dogs as I can do so much more with them like taking them to training and to parks and they are company on long trips- traveling alone let me tell you NO ONE messes around with a car that has a large dog in it... they will choose an easier mark.

Cats are great but not my preference. A cat will protect its provider with its life but cats are fickle and can switch providers = according to who provides for it the best or most.

Whereas a dog will starve with its master.

And I hope that is never the case... hahahaha

CATS!!
dogs drool and cats rule. I can go out and not worry about having to take my cats out for "a walk". Leave enough food and clean water and litter box, the cats are content. I like dogs but having to do the "walkies" thing would drive me up a wall, especially in ALL kinds of terrible weather too.

I prefer cats because they are much more independent. You do not need to walk them or worry about them if they are outside. They can take care of themselves better but you still have to clean the litter and feed the, My cats are very affectionate and provide me with hours of entertainment by chasing bugs or each other. Do not get me wrong I like dogs but I think cats are over all better. One more thing. I think cats are smarter-they may not do tricks but they definitely can be trained to do more complicated things like use the toilette.

Dogs by far. They are loyal and give unconditional love. Who else can make you feel like a rock star when you come home? All cats are good for is licking their crouch and if you have 2 you can make a pair of mittens.

cats. u dont need to walk them in horrible weather, i also find cats relaxing the purr and also i perfur them to humans sometimes they dont answer back they sit there and lap up all the attention and give u some back. i like dogs too but had a bad experience so defo cats

Dogs are the best ....men know that a dog is great because he is willing to hang out with you on the porch, in the yard, and even beside you in the truck as you go down to buy a lottery ticket. I even heard they will play fetch with either a stick or ball....that is great!!!!

DOGS! They are really loyal as pets they are great friends!! It seems like if they really understand what your saying they know when your sad and stuff like that me personally love dogs...cats are jealous animals....well i prefer dogs they are really great friends:p

I prefer dogs. They are always so excited to see you when you get home. They just seem to have more personality.

dogs for sure. they can do EVERYTHING better than cats. cats are dumb. all the do is sleep all day & stare at you. i mean with dogs, you can take them for a walk. i can't walk cats. & you can take dogs like almost anywhere like to use as guide dogs. i mean i dont see any guide cats around here... & dogs are more exciting. they and jump around, play fecth with you..... bark.. cats.... they only jump! lol so dogs are the best!! :)
