depends...If he is not hungry and don't want to take it is not illegal.
But if employer don't give a lunch time that can be illegal. And for what I know a 15to 20 minutes at least of break or so, when a person is working a full time job=40 per week.

It may not be legal, but if you complain, your boss may find a replacement and come up with a stack of reasons to fire you.
Be careful, especially if you live in a state that tends to be anti-union/anti-workers, if you really need that job.
I suggest telling your boss politely that it was really hard going without lunch and could he let you know when's a good time for a little break.
If he doesn't care, look for another job and leave with dignity. It's no fun working for a jerk, but when you're just getting started and you're too demanding, watch out!
Not that having a lunch break is demanding, but a tyrant boss is "always right," so approach in a friendly manner at first.

if they are a minor they have to have a half hour break every 5 hrs. but if they are an adult they can work as long as they want without a break.

nope. they usually have to take a half hour break when working 6 or more hours.
