So I'm from Louisiana too and know exactly where Plain Dealing is. I used to live in Shreveport and Bossier. So why not look for another job? What are you qualified to do?
My husband isn't off on weekends either and i don't necessarily like it, but we have to make do because if he doesn't work, then he doesn't get paid. And he works for the federal government so there's no way in the world I would tell him to go get another job.

get a newspaper honey..go out and ask for applications at every place you can that's what I did when looking for a job.
