According to what make you two break up in the first place. If you really love her then try your hardest to get her back, but you can't make someone love you. I hope for the sake of your daughter it can be worked out.

It is not a simple yes or no answer to your question
Getting back together would really depend on what broke you up...
If it was because of cheating probably not.
If you hit or hurt her probably not.
But if it is some bump in the road argument that you both can get over and move on, then it would be worth trying to get back together.
