Sad to say most people are increasingly slow and lazy to find the truth until it smacks them in the face.
I don't think I trust most American voters, they usually just trust the options mainstream gives them instead of researching for themselves.
Or they will vote for Hillary because she doesn't have a penis, or Obama because he is black because they think that is going to change things.

All the candidates seem to be bought and paid for and I don't know how I can live in this country if things continue this way.

When you have someone who actually speaks differently, intellegently and honestly people call him a nutjob!!

Input?

Not sure that it will work this time around or not. It remains to be seen.

Most people vote for the name they recognize or the way their parents taught them to. It is unfortunate for us that people dont take the time to think on their own and make thier own decisions.

Going on the above assumption I woudl think that people like Ron Paul would start to get their name out there quickly so that its recognized. Not sure why this isnt happening yet with the primaries coming up real soon. Maybe its a money thing.

Ron seems to me to be the only ones n the debates thus far with his head scrwed on properly. All the rest are simply towing the party line and not giving a damn about the constitution. It about time we have someone there that actually talks the correct talk and walks the correct walk....maybe...just maybe...this year will be different.

You are pretty much right on the money, I didn't trust the American voters to make a smart decision before and I never will. I also don't trust the voting system either because they were more concerned about announcing a winner than determining the truth or maintaining the voting history.

I won't vote for either of the two candidates you mention, I'll probably vote republican because one of them might actually win over the democrats, even though I'm more a 'liberal'. Voting is and always will be 'the lesser of two evils' in America.

No, I expect same , same. And worse we got this election early and all we hear is Hillary and her high approval in th polls and GWB should be impeached. This campaign is about those two running and no one else at this point.
I pray America will wake up. We need some sleeper candidates like Fred Thompson, Bloomberg and even Al Gore to rock th Hill bill train off it's rails. Otherwise, shame on US for 8 to 12 yrs of more deception and personal gain. I can only see that staying the same also. Thank you.

*Obama seems to have bought into the game. He may fair well as Hill's VP. God help us all. Keep writing ON! Wake them up!

Here's my input on the situation--granted, I'd say the American people aren't stupid--they're ignorant of the situation. (By my distinction, you're only stupid if you act in spite of that ignorance.) Nobody really has the time or the patience to sit down and go over everything politically--they're too busy with their own lives to care right now.

But here's my real question--if you don't think the American people are capable of choosing a leader, who would you rather have make that decision?

Sure! They made a pretty smart decision last time. The only problem was the options they had to choose from. I mean, come on, Kerry? Gore? Bush may not be the sharpest tack in the pack, but those other two? fugetaboutit. I've dropped turds that were smarter than both of those muffins put together.

Of course I trust the american voters to make the right decision again. Thats how democracy works. The votes were counted and Dubbya won (Give it up Gore and Kerry fans). This time we won't be fooled again and I think we will have a much more moderate president.

Even if we didn't vote the candidates they want would be elected.

I really trust people are waking up to the truth. Especially when they see the Democrats they elected to get us out of the war sitting on their hands. The race is rigged.

The way I see things, is that more and more peoples are lacking good quality education, which mean that they remembers things that they think are right, but in the end the never learn to think by themsleves... And this is the MAJOR problems in our western civilization, only the rich could learn in schools to do so, and very few of us have been conscious enough to see that the way they showed to us was not the good one (during our scholarship I mean)...
Our education system is only a way to mold peoples mind and format them to follow, or believed that they don't follow, only few black sheeps escapes the mo]lding process, and I am one of those... Believe me, those peoples will never changed their minds, its like the movie bodysnatcher, those are possess, and we will be hardly be capable to express ourselves in the future...
I would have like to tell you, which country is not working like this, but since most countries leader have learn about Machiavelli tactics, I am pretty sure that our options are pretty limited...

I don't know. I trusted them the last two elections and look where that got us. The best thing about America is that we are stronger than the leaders we elect. It is the people that make this country great. We continually manage to survive and go on to become stronger despite the politicians. Don't lose heart. This is still the best country in the world!

I agree with your assessment of some of the voters, but remember that it isn't the whole of American voters. I would also ask what would the smart decision be, perhaps these people researched the candidates and came up with a different viewpoint then yourself.
