If you are starting from seed then you are too late. However, you can try to plant the cool weather seeds in Late August, early September for a Autumn harvest. Your cool weather seeds include Peas and kale. Yep, that's it. Most often you start your seeds indoors about 6 wks before last frost and then move them outside after last frost. Sometime in early to mid May.

It's getting a little late in the season, so you might want to plant them now, but first check the packages and see how much time they need to grow. The packet should give you a number of days. Your veggies will need that much time without a frost.

Good luck!

I used this website for planting my garden...

http://www.thegardenhelper.com/vegtips.html

most of the time you start growing your seedlings 6-8 weeks before you are to place them outside....recommend near the transfer to your garden, you put the seedlings out in the sun several hours during the day to toughen up the plant...

Should have done it by now. Anytime after the worst of the frosts have passed.
