A disk that is more than 4.7 but not dual layer. If so will the double layer disk play on a XBOX 360. I have a DELL computer will i need a dual layer burner or is it in it already?

DVDs only hold 4.7GB, you cannot get any single-layer DVDs that hold more than that. I know Blu-Ray and HD-DVD hold a lot more, but you cannot burn to them with a normal DVD Burner.

Whether there is or isn't is a moot point.

If the drive can't recognise it, it won't work.

Same sort of thing happens with the 3.5" floppies used to flash BIOS's. They hold more than the 1.44MB that the disc is rated for. However, once you erase the BIOS info and try to use the 2.something MB disc, your computer will not recognise it.

In short, if the format doesn't match what (the drive) expects, it won't work.

idk ur dell computr, but chances are that it does not. i dont think the 360 can read dual layer disk but im not sure i never tried it. the only other dosk formats that can hold more are hd-dvd n bluray

Yes./ Hi-def DVDs. There are also blu-Ray disks, but I do not believe those are compatable.

They are available almost everywhere, staples, best buy, etc..
