Saw both of them pitch many times in their playing years. Blyleven won 287 games in his career while Sutcliffe won 171. Blyleven had a career ERA of 3.31 and Sutcliff was 4.08. Not only was Blyleven superior in most every other category he was also more consistent throughout his career. You hear about the Blyleven curve-ball and it really was that good. I would have to go with Bert "Be Home" Blyleven.

Would have to pick Blyleven even though Sutcliffe was decent in his own right.

Blyleven. He was a great pitcher(sick curveball) and competitor, and it's a joke that he's not in the Hall of Fame.

Blyleven -- was distincly better at preventing baserunners and runs, which is the pitcher's job.
