Can I use my Dell Inspiron E1505 as a monitor for my PC?

This would only be possible if you have a tv tuner card and a s-video out port on your computer. You can get a new video card with s-video out for your computer and then get a pcmcia tv tuner card for your laptop.

As there is no place to "input" the display information on a standard E1505, you can not use it directly as a monitor.

If you really wanted to get fancy, I suppose you could install a remote access software on the PC and on the laptop, remote into the PC from the laptop so that you see the PC's screen on your laptop, and then run the desktop. But it would be slow, and the screen does not refresh as fast on the remote laptop. But you could do it....

(Actually, I have a desktop that I use for file storage with no monitor, mouse or keyboard. I run it entirely from a remote laptop. But I only access it once every couple of weeks at most when doing backups for my other systems.)

eh, laptops have an output for a monitor i don't believe there's an input that would work as such.
