Now, if you are worried that the dollar will drop, start investing in things like gold, platinum, and other precious metals. You can also invest in other currencies as well. But, wether you dollar is in the bank, wallet, or in a jar barried in the back yard it holds the same value.

Are you talking about interest from your account? It depends on what kind of account you put your money into. CD's pay around 5% right now - 7 months ago they were about 4 1/2%
It's best to contact your bank and find out what the rates are.
Also you did not mention how much money you are talking about. Your best bet is to contact your bank.
