The CDC has an annual budget of 10 Billion and the Director is asking for another billion?

It does seem like some of these are earmarks, paybacks, and definitely a bridge to nowhere. That along with all federal agency budgets need to be reigned in quickly. As the government puts more and more programs in place that have no ending we need to watch agencies who get these unbelievable perks.

OMG No way should they get more money and someone needs to be held accountable for those funds that were misused. They need to take the people at the top and responsible for the spending, and strip them of all assets to a middle income (50-60000) a year availability for personal spending and take those assets and fund the program- betcha they'll get close to that billion they "need"

With all the diseases that we had gotten rid of that are on the comeback, (Another reason Illegal Immigration is bad)...you know TB, Smallpox, good things like that... I think maybe we should...maybe pull the money from the 10 Billion we are sending to Africa to help them with AIDS, which they will use to kill each other...

I'd much rather the CDC get the money rather than israel which we give billions to every year (16 billion if I remember right)
