A few weeks ago, my husband and I rented Blood Diamond and both of us liked it, but by the end of the movie, we were so disgusted by what we learned about the diamond trade. I was never really into diamonds before, but after watching that movie, I got completely turned off. I know al ot of my peers love wearing diamond jewellery, but everytime I think about it, it sickens me to know what's going on behind the scenes, and it hurts to know what their money is supporting. When we hear/read about serious issues such as these, what is something we can do to change that?

Use what you learned!
Stop buying items produced/procured in such ways. You may have to do research and review your shopping habits, but it's worth it.

Most of all, remember one of the easiest ways to change the world......simply be kind to others. It really makes a difference.

Do research. If you are ever going to purchase diamonds in the future, learn where they are coming from.Reputable jewelery stores will have no problem telling you where the diamonds are imported from.

hmm wow there is so many things going on in the world. it would be hard to do. but i say maybe you should start at home with your family. your kids show them whats right & whats wrong. that way as they grow & mature they can pass that on to other future generations. we cant solve every thing. but its a start.
