what are the first steps in taking on this clothingline project. does it take a certain amount of money or who and what do i need to know

The fashion industry, as you can well imagine, is a very competitive one. To succeed takes knowledge, patience, talent and a bit of luck. As far as the knowledge bit goes, I found some sources that will assist you further.

You must be inspired by another clothingline business. Look at what they do and translate it to your way. It works

what you should do is first, find soem good name. the best is to use your own name. then. you build a website nice one. use some high fashion models (not really expensive one, get girls and guys who look pretty much like models on runway). and do a lot of advertising.

are you going to do screen printing or heat press? I would check into the pricing for how you intend to create/print the clothing.
