Can a Jasmine plant grow inside? I love the smell and want to bring it in.

Maybe, if you have a large container and a very bright place to put it. I want to issue a warning though. The plant Carolina Jessamine (jasmine) is very poisonous so if this is the jasmine you have or are planning on getting make sure pets or children will not be around it. One flower can kill a 40lb life form.

I agree with the others when they say a rather large pot should be needed. Also, it would have to be in a spot where it can get PLENTY of sun, as it is the type of plant that not only does it need good soil, but as much sun as possible.
I personally don't think that it will bloom and be wonderful as you want it inside your house. Maybe you should consider planting it by a window so that the aroma may be inside the house through it.

Jasmine likes the outdoors and grows strongly towards sunlight. I have had it grow 8' to get to sunlight. It likes water and branches heavily as well as having very long invasive roots. Better to get a candle or incense that smell like jasmine.

Take a look at Arabian Jasmine (J. sambac) - you may be able to grow that inside. We have one that we bring in every winter when it drops consistently below 50 degrees, and it will be five years old this summer.

its possible if you keep it in full sun and dont let the soil dry out. its a plant that gets big though and spreads so itd have to be in a pretty darn big pot.
