I am for it. People need the right to organize, and the right not to. Before unions, the average work day was 10-12 hours. You were locked in your place and could not leave until your shift was over. That cause the deaths of a number of women locked in a garment factory that caught on fire. When train builders stopped working and camped out in front of the place, the owners together with local police gunned down everyone in their tents in the early morning hours before they awoke. Without the right to organize, there would be no minimum wage, no time and a half for over time, no medical or retirement benefits. the list goes on and on. With out all unions, how many people would have medical benefits in this country. We need the right to organize. It's true there is corruption in it, however there is corruption in everything. It is also an avenue for working people to get into politics, and make a difference.
