She is free as long as she sits in your lap
My sister was 4 and she still got in for free, she was so small, sat on my moms lap and it was fine, so it goes way higher than newborn

Every team's/stadium's policy can be different, so you'd have to check the team website to see their rules, but chances are you can take a newborn in with no ticket anywhere.
We have taken our daughter (10 months old) to two games so far this season, and she loved it! She really likes loud places and clapping. We went to one day game and one night game. She fell asleep, noise and all, in the seventh inning of the night game as the home team rallied to win, but she stayed awake all through the day game, without any crying or fussing, even though the home team lost that one. Just be prepared to hold him or her in your lap for a whole game - even the smallest babies get heavy after a few hours...
Some tips:
* First of all, find out for sure if you'll need a ticket. A quick phone call to the box office will answer that.
* Find out right away where the changing tables are nearest your section, and check to see what condition they're in (dirty, broken, etc.) It would be good to have a back-up plan in case the one closest to your seat is occupied when you need it. (That happened to us.)
* Sunscreen and a hat, of course.
* Bring a toy or rattle or something - this is a great time for your baby to play with his/her loudest toys. Just be careful to ensure that it doesn't hit the ground and then go back in his/her mouth.
* Bring some kind of sanitary wipes, not just for diaper changes but for anything he/she might grab (e.g nearby seats, handrails, etc.). Yes, there are germs everywhere. (But that's no reason not to go - there were probably more germs at the hospital where your baby was born!)
* Bring a bottle. Even if mom's cool with breastfeeding in public, chances are the ushers won't be. (And she probably doesn't want to end up on the JumboTron!)
* Speaking of the JumboTron, make sure the camera operators know where you are. They love babies...
Have a great time.

Check with the home team for specific policies, but in general, yes, you can bring in your baby, for free.
I've done it, though my kids are well past that stage now.
Fair warning, and only you know your child well enough, but some little ones cannot handle the cacophony and welter of so many people, smells, sights, and sounds and will need a time-out break somewhere quiet (in crowded parks, somewhere back in a corner of the concourse; at Devil Rays games, pretty much anywhere in the seating bowl will do). Others love the sensory immersion. Be prepared to bail out if you must; it can be frustrating, but that's part of parenthood.

a newborn to a major league baseball game is a huge mistake. Crowds pushing, germs, dirty, etc. don't be suprised if someone calls the police for endangering the life of a newborn on you.

its free to take them, as long as they fit in your seat...but you might regret taking her.
i recently went to a clippers game(AAA) with my baby sister and even then the noise there was too loud for her. My mom ended up having to leave and stay out in the car and wait for the game to end because she just couldn't handle it.
Hope it helped.

It's just my opinion but i don't think newborns should be taken into such a loud atmosphere.

My God - I hope your seats are not in the sun. Plus - it is so loud at games. I would not do it.
