Common Raccoon how to tell if it is a boy or girl??

First of all, is this raccoon a pet? How close are you able to get to it? If you can get up close, you should notice a scrotal sac in the rear if it is a male, similar to other male mammals. Unfortunately, due to age, diet, etc, you can not always rely on size as an accurate measure for whether it is a male or female.
