There are too many to list here. Here are the basic ones.

TCP/IP: Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol
HTTP: Hyper Text Transfer Protocol
FTP:File Transfer Protocol
SMTP: Simple Mail TP
POP: Post Office
NNTP: News

They all ride on TCP/IP (or UDP) which is a "network" protocol. There are layers of protocols, that's what I mean by "ride" TCP/IP. Here's a list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_network_protocols

All the other WWW protocols are assigned to ports that are within TCP/IP range of ports, and they are assigned applications (like HTTP on port 80). Here's that list (IP version 4)
