have you ever received an answer to a 'wish' 'prayer' or 'want' and been able to take the intended meaning away from having gotten it?

I am wondering if an answer to any of my prayers has come in a way that doesn't exceed my expectations....how about you?

Yes I have gotten exactly want I wanted, but it turned out to be not what I really needed. You should really think the positive and negative sides of what you are wishing.

And about the prayer and wish thing... it's just a matter of visualization. Visualization encourages your mind and actions to achieve your purpose

Reality responds to unconflictedness which is a tall order for our complex brain/body system. It is a protection from getting what we want before we have sense enough to be rational in what we wish for.

I came here knowing intuitively that I should be very careful about what I wanted as a child because I would get it and set off a chain reaction. But, yes, I have experienced receiving unconflicted desires when circumstances forced me into a corner (of course I unconsciously allowed it). It always follows an "intensely" detached state of mind and it is always startling to experience the power of pure intention.

Prayers are generally different because we are uncertain what the right answer would consist of so they precipitate or propagate change usually outside of our awareness of cause and effect.

Soul good question really. I never ask for anything I pray and if it is meant to be in my life than it is. I remember one day wanting to get a new car and worked hard paid my bills and bought it all by myself :)))

Anything that I have asked for like say I liked someone in the past a great deal if things happened for whatever reason than it was just not meant to be I am very realistic about these things lately. What is that saying be careful what you wish for you just might get it :)) it might not be a good thing after all...........I feel if something did not happen when you asked for it at the time there are major reasons for it not to have gone your way.....................I call it my guardian angels in heaven looking out for me and my smarts because I am very aware and I question everything!!

When I was about 7, I was helping my mom make the bed and she was whistling. I couldn't do it. I tried and tried while helping her and just said "oh I wish I could whistle". I tried it one more time and I could do it.
That is the one and only time I wished for something, got it exactly and immediatly when I wanted it. Other wishes that came true were things that were going to happen eventually anyway and I just had to be patient.

Sure. I got married. Prayed for it. It happened just as I asked for it to happen.

That said, for the most part, prayers don't work that way. God is not your sugar daddy.
