CALLIDUS..? I've been actually looking for a foreign term that best describes a nurse... I think skillful is the best word for that... But then, i encountered a problem with the word CALLIDUS coz as i searched for the meaning... I can't determine if it has a good or bad meaning... since, some reference says that it means skillful,experienced,smart,clever... but some says that it has a bad meaning which is sly and cunning...

Sollers, sollertis seems to be a very good fit. It translates as:

callidus (or callida if you are referring to a female) does indeed have the meaning "sly" in certain contexts as well as "skilful".

You could use "doctus" (docta) to get across the meaning of skilled, learned, experienced.

There is also "peritus" (perita) experienced, skilled, expert
which can be further expanded to "peritissimus" ~ a man of extraordinary skill.

These words seem to be positively used.
