First car was an Austin 1100 with the tape speedo. First roadworthy car was a 1969 Mk 1 Capri, originally a 1600 but subsequently a 1300 with the 1600 carb. What a heap!

my first licensed car was a 1947 pontiac I was 16 & my parents had to sign for it. I wanted a fast car & had found a 39 Studibaker straight 8 that the salesman guarantied to do 110 mph in 2nd gear overdrive or he would give me the car free. my dad wouldnt sign for this car ,said it was too fast for me. so I had to settle for the 10 yr. old pontiac which was a good car but pretty ordinary. (no bling & not very fast) the year before I had bought a 31 model A ford for $ 15 and brought it home but as I had no license my parents wouldnt let me fix it up & drive it so I cut it up with a hack saw & chisel & sold the scrap iron for $31.so I made money on my first car lost money on every one since.

I seem to be a lot older than the others on here. My first car was a Hillman"Gaylook" which was made by the ols Rotes motor company, later amalgamated into british rover cars. It had a front bench seat, and a column gearchange. I bought it secondhand for £25, and drove it trouble free for 60, 000 miles. All bumpers were chrome, and it had white wall tyres. They made sturdy cars then.

Citroen BX19 E registration, it was completely knackered, white with a horrible grey plastic interior. I had it for about six months before I gave up driving and now ten years later still only on my second an L registration Ford Fiesta in green with a mouldy back seat from where we transported our damp dog and then didn't touch the car for a month.

1928 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup. I found it abandoned in an orange grove near my home and towed it home. I spent a year fixing it up in High School Auto Shop and took my driving test in it when I was 16.
I installed a V8 engine, hydraulic brakes, red paint, new wheels and tires I drove this car until I enlisted in the military.
