A review is a survey over a whole subject or division of it, or esp. an article making a critical reconsideration and summary of something written. So that means you study a subject and find different facts about and then write something for a newspaper.

A journal is a daily record, as of occurrences, experiences, or observations. So, this means maybe during the making of the movie...you could then write a journal about it, what happened each day.
