After several times of scratching my husband in the face he asks me not to sleep in it anymore. I also don't wear it in the shower since its too cumbersome.
I'm curious what other women do.....

i never would have thought of taking it off...my mom sold hers and that blew my mind...but i keep it safe and secure in a locked jewlery box if its not on. i cant handle raw hamburger meat, but when touching chicken, steak or any houehold cleaner i take it off. i dont want to damage my solitaire.

oh and the worst? electric shocks. i got my ring caught in a grocery cart at costco and was getting electric shocks throught my hand, second time i hit a filing cabinet and my hand sparked, made my boss jump lol

The only time I take my ring off is when I am mixing up hamburger patties or making home made noodles. Actually I accidently left it on the window sill above the sink the other day and my hubby was taking me out to dinner. He noticed I had forgotten to put my ring back on and turned the car around and went back to get it. I feel funny without it. It's gorgeous, and it's a beautiful symbol of our love and commitment to one another. Also I am afraid of losing it.....That's just me. My mom and dad have been married for 35 years and my dad wears his ring all the time, my mom doesn't. Doesn't mean she doesn't love him, she just doesn't like wearing jewelry on her hands.

I always wear my wedding ring in the shower and to bed. The only time that I take it off is when I know my hands are going to get really dirty. Or if I'm scouring the tub or something.
The other day I scrached my husbands leg....badly. Oops. But I still won't take my ring off. I don't want to risk losing it.

My hubby has never removed his since we married almost 8 years ago. Mine has a tall setting in the middle...and like yours...will scratch if not careful. I take it off when I enter the house and place it in my jewelry cabinet and put it on to leave the house. Other than that, I never wear it....too dangerous to sleep with.

I take it off to shower like you I find the settings quite cumbersome (hadn't heard that in a while)but I do sleep with mine the only other time I take my off is too cook stuff like meatloaf or anything I am mashing and getting my fingers into.

I take it off to do both. Mine is platinum and the band is large so I don't want it to get dented. The stone is 1.5 carats and I could also scratch my husband with it. It just gets uncomfortable while I'm sleeping.

I NEVER took it off until my husband and I separated except like the other answerer said while pregnant. Still feels weird sometimes without it there but I don't wear other rings, they bother me. That one was almost like a part of me.... :(

I never take mine off, of course I've had to replace the stones a few times but I feel naked without it.

I take it off when I do my hair...just because I use so many products, I don't want them getting it all gross...
Maybe you could turn it around when you sleep so that it is on the inside of your hand, and it won't scratch him anymore??

I sleep and shower with mine one. I only take it off when I am cooking and I have to mix something with my hands, like bread dough.
