There was one batch that made it through that part of the minting process without the words engraved on the outer rim. This is an error and is worth about 200 to 500 for anyone who can find such errors. The coins were shipped to banks to Florida and Georgia.
There is also an error with the Adams dollar. The words were double stamped. Another wonderful error for the avid coin collector. These were also shipped to Florida and Georgia.

A few of the new Washington coins were minted without the slogan. It was a mistake. Some coin dealers are already buying them up to sell in the future. Some of the coins are already being sold as rare coins on eBay.
Hang on to yours. They will grow in value.

What? They were....? omg... Why do people think the words "In God We Trust" were put on coins and money to begin with...? This nation was built on God... but of course, we wouldn't want to offend anyone... Well, even though they weren't completely ommited from the coin and put on the ridge, it's still rediculous.

Apparently, yes. They are on the rim of the coin, but some got through without the engraving on the rim.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Democrats taking control of Congress.
I'm pretty sure.
I think.
