Thanks for taking the time to read this,Im in a sticky situation and need some advice.I work in IL.I have worked for fast food for 5 years.I have been a mgr. for almost 3.A few months ago I was at work and another manager assaulted me, with an open hand to the face "slap".I did nothing to provoke this.I was so shocked I just walked away.This had ever happened to me before.The next 2 days I went on like nothing happened, until finally it bothered me so much I told my store mgr what happened.The next day my store supervisor called me into the back office, in the office were my owner, supervisor, store mgr, and the other mgr who assaulted me. The mgr admitted to them that she slapped me, after denying it.Then they kept asking "Was it playful?" I said no it hurt there was no bruise or anything, and no witnesses and the video footage was to shaky to tell, but she admitted to slapping me.She continues to harass me so i quit1 day notice, now they wont give me my check, or my 2weeks vac pay?

They have to pay you for services rendered, it's the law. Contact a lawyer or a state appointed lawyer and see if you can get more than what they owe you, it's the American way.

Go to the police and/or District Attorney and file assault and battery charges against the manager.
File suit for the wages in small claim court.

Get a lawyer.You have the law on your site.One against the one that slapped you and the other one against the Company that wont pay you.Good Luck and i mean that.

Get a lawyer. Could be sexual harrassment called "hostile work environment" especially if the other manager was not disciplined for her action.

Don't you have a labour board you can report this too? At the very least talk to the police and press charges.

You shouldn't have quit with no notice. You should have taked your vacation to look for another job....or......grow a pair and kick her ***!
