Explanation please?
So, at 3am this morning, the small little TV in the corner of my basement (I use it when I go on the tredmill) randomly turned on. There was no evidence of a power surge because nothing else in the house turned on or was flashing ( like, the clock parts). My mom went downstairs wondering where the noise was coming from, saw it on with the volume way up (I never have the volume on, I put the subtitles on. Whenever I turn it on it automatically goes that way). And she couldnt turn it off with the remote! Any explanations? I don't want a haunted house!

I am quite sure it has absolutely nothing to do with a ghost.
Sometimes electronic circutry can act funny when large amount of dust builds up on the motherboard.
Also, small insects (typically in basements) can walk around
in the unit, and make some contact points touch, hence
causing your tv to turn on.
The explanation to the sound being way up and the subtitiels off, is simply that the power was activated before the storage information was fed to the tv. It's like bypassing your computers boot up settings.
Really it's nothing to worry about. Try taking a shop vac
and putting the hose on the discharge side, so it blows air.
Blow out the tv as much as you can, thru the air vents in the back. That should help you.
If your really spooked, put a rosery on top of it.

That's pretty creepy. I personally hate basements. I think it stems from too many horror movies watched as a child where something always went wrong in the basement.

Have you lost a friend or a family member, within the last lest say in the last 4 months... A home that is haunted would have something constantly going on and if this is the first time it sounds more like someone was trying to contact a you or another member of your family.... well your house might be hunted but if u go down to your basement say the name Allah 20 times then the ghost will go away trust me.

take the tv to get it repaired, its probably broken, if not get rid of it i guess
