I think it sucks. Why do they HAVE to sing it at every graduation. Shouldnt they be singing "Good bye Old Paint" or something like that?

It's an okay song. It doesn't seem right for graduation. but it might work for a funeral. I like the old Green Day song I've heard at several graduations. I just can't think of the name of it.I think it's Time Of Your Life.

My two most favorite songs are, The Rose and The Wind Beneath My Wing, when Bett Midler sings them.
When you grow up. You will probably like them too.
Now doesn't that give you some thing to look forward to?

I think from now on "Party Like a Rock Star" should be sung at all graduations.....You know set the bar...... High.

It IS rather sappy. However, it's best done with some passion. Midler's famous rendition was a bit tepid. You should hear Amanda McBroom -- who wrote it -- sing it.
