Statute.

There is absolutely none. Because, unlike arson or theft, which is a crime that basically ends (And the clock starts ticking) after you've done.... it an escape is ongoing.

Every day you stay out of custody is just a continuation of the same crime, (escape) so you can get nailed for it even if it's not 'til 20 years later that you're finally caught.
