So I was with this guy for a lil over 3 yrs. At the begining everything was great but going into the two yr mark, he lost it! He got into really heavy drugs, and mistreated me. He didnt even look like himself anymore, after he finally got clean I decided it would be best for me to leave him so I could regain myself, since I had lost so much helping him out. Now I feel that he's back to the person he was when we first got together and he wants me back, all my family and friends dislike him and would be really upset with me if I got back together with him. I really dont know what to do! I cant picture my life without him in it, I love him more than words can describe and he knows me better than anybody. People always tell me I deserve better than him, and to a certain extent I know that, but I still want to be with him. At the same time I dont want to dissappoint my friends and family that have been so supportive of me.

You can try to be with him on a low key basis, trying to help him convince your family and friends of his sincerity. They just want to be sure you are going to be alright, so thay don't have to dcome back in and pick you back up if something should happen again. Try to find out exactly what their concerns are, so that you could help him put their fears to rest. You really need to try to avoid an us-vs-him situation, imposed by either side. Take things very slowly and cautiously.

In the end u have to do wats best for u. But has he really changed. If he has turned to drugs once wats to stop him doing it again.
