There's also a strong anti-Muslim bias. Care to mention that too?

Could someone explain this:

If I were to criticise a muslim or christian country (say Saudi Arabia or Columbia), no-one would think I was critisising the main religions of those countries, just that country

YET

If I say Israel's human rights record stinks, I get accused of anti-semitism i.e. saying something nasty about jews, despite the fact that I am criticising the human rights record of a country not a religion.

It's time some apologists for Israel's brutality realised that those of us who criticise the actions and policies of the Israeli government do not in any way hate jewish people, and for that matter do not want to see the state of Isreal abolished. We just think that no country has the right to occupy the land of another people, oppress them, starve them (UNICEF says child malnutrition in the Occupied territories is the same as that in sub-Saharan Africa i.e. bad), imprison them, impose collective acts on punishment on them etc.

Many resent the fact we are allies with a country for no good reason and it costs America lives and money. Supporting them only because they are an ally begs the question, Why is Israel an ally?

You can include me in that.

Israel is a horrible country. The are the worst human rights offender in the Middle East. They use their military might, which has been given to them by the US, to push any agenda they wish.

Whoever opposes them is usually killed by airstrikes, tanks, or gunned down by soldiers.

There's a story running on the front page of www.yahoo.com right now that shows their typical attitude for those who are not Israelis.

That's very interesting. Seems cons like Israel. Not surpising to find them uninformed as usual, but interesting to be sure.

I'm not anti-semitic, but israels government is totally corrupt and evil. Does it make me anti-american because i recognize that both parties are corrupt and are killing my country? Or does that make me a patriot?

It is kind of funny how most Jews lean liberal, yet liberals hate Israel.

I guess liberals prefer terrorists over American allies.

I assume you mean sentiment, and no, it isn't just you, and, no, it isn't just here. Anti-semitism, now often expressed as the more politically correct anti-Zionism, is alive and well all over the world.
