I think AP has a good chance of winning the Rookie of the Year. He's running behind a solid O-Line, with Hutchison and Birk fully healthy this year. Marcus Johnson has a year experience under his belt at tackle, so the Vikings O Line will improve.

It depends on how many carries AP gets. If he gets more carries than Chester Taylor, he has a good shot at the ROY. But Chester might get more carries, because he is experienced and has a lesser chance of injury.

I don't think CJ will win rookie of the year because he's on the Lions, and Kitna has Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson, and Mike Furrey to pass the ball too. I don't expect much out of Calvin Johnson, though he is the best of the Rookie class.

Following in Vince Young's footsteps of last year, JaMarcus Russell will come in and start around week 4 and push the Raiders to a 6-7 win record. He will get Offensive rookie of the year.

I think that Peterson will be good in the NFL and have a good year this year, but he is not the featured back in Minnesota. Also, I hate to break it to the Buffalo fans on here (all 3 of them), but Marshawn Lynch is gonna be a bust! I live in Oregon and am heavily into the Pac-10. He isn't that good!

I highly doubt it, I think Peterson is going to be run all over by defenders his first couple of years. This isn't college anymore, the defense is much bigger and much stronger now. Power running backs hardly every do well in their rookie year considering the fact that they can't mow over defenders like they could in college and it takes them a while to find new ways. Give him a few years and he'll be up there with the best of them.

jazbac: What does that have to do with anything? He's still a power running back, thats his game. Why don't you read what I said again... or however many times it takes you to understand that it had nothing to do with him being slow, and then we can talk.

I don't think rookie of the year is in Peterson's future. He won't get enough carries to be able to win the award. Even his biggest fans can't expect that he'll do better than Maurice Jones-Drew did last year with about the same number of carries that Peterson is going to get, and Jones-Drew wasn't really considered for the rookie of the year award.

Peterson will be good, but other rookie running backs will put up bigger numbers this season.

Come on guy, the season isnt even a million/2 excess of. A rookie could emerge interior the 2d a million/2 of the season and sweetness each and every person. Adrian Peterson hasnt locked something up, there remains adequate time for him to fall out of ROY talks thoroughly, via loss of production or lord forbid, harm. to respond to the question the guy for the Giants, Ross, is exceedingly stable.

With Jackson as the QB, a hodge poge of WRs, the Vikes will be hard pressed to have any kind of consistant offense. Not to mention Peterson will be sharing time with Chester Taylor. Peterson is a good RB but I don't see him with the numbers to be in ROY contention.

I say Marshawn Lynch more than AP. Buffalo seems to be a place where backs do well, and Marshawn is the definition of a top back, no matter how much Peterson overshadows him. Lynch and Peterson have been the top prospects coming out of their classes twice (in highschool and in college), and I see at least Lynch having a great career and peterson too if he doesn't get too marred by injuries.

I really doubt that Peterson will get rookie of the year. He will probably just get hurt again this year in the nfl. Also his o-line is one of the worst in the nfl last year. Some good candidates for R.O.Y are Calvin Johnson and Marshawn Lynch. I am not taking Russel or Quinn because QB is a harder position to adjust to in the nfl and they probably will not be starting until later weeks. Plus Johnson is a phenominal talent with a great upcoming quarteback in Drew Stanton and Lynch is on a young talented team that likes to build around running backs.

He has an outside shot, becaue the vikes will use him to spell Taylor alot this year, to keep Taylor from getting over-used and possibly injured. He will definitely be in their third down packages, so he'll get plenty of touches. I think he'll have 1000 combined yards (rushing and receiving), and a few touchdowns too. There aren't alot of impact rookies out there this year, so he has a good chance at ROY.

Calvin Johnson, weak defensive backs in division, MOSS type rookie season potential. Love Peterson though, just not thee starter yet (I am an Oklahoma boy).
