I'm not a fan of tribute albums; rather listen to the original artists do their songs. But... is there one out there you think I cannot live without? Explain your choice!

Oh I love this question!! I only own 2 Tribute albums because like u, I only, usually, like hearing the orignial ppl sing their own stuff...I have The Led Zepplin Tribute album, which features Stone Temple Polits among other artists, and The Doors tribute album entitled ''Stone Immactulate'' which is freakin awesome! Best Tribute Album Ever Made!! It was actually really are to find too...I had to buy over the internet because no stores carried it anymore...It includes Scott Stapps doing some doors stuff along with Ian Astbury doing doors stuff before him and the remaining Doors went on to become the band known as '' The Doors of the 21st century'' which I dont think lasted too long but I saw them in concert which was kinda weird. Stapp had the ability to sound alot like Morrison but the one that got me the most was Travis Meek and the rest of Days of the New siging ''The End''. It gives me chills every time i listen to it. One of the top 10 songs one must hear, in my book...Check it out!

I loved Substitute, the tribute album for The Who.. it even has The Who with a new track at the end.. (well, new at the time) My favorite is Sharyl Crow covering Behind Blue Eyes..
other than that?.. Burning London, tribute to the Clash.. when else are you going to hear the Indigo Girls or No Doubt on classic Clash songs?
I don't remember the name of the other one, but there is a tribute album for Siousix and the Banshees (I know I spelled it wrong, but I really can't spell it)... that one is beautiful.. almost better than the originals!
