1. Can a person be sued in another state without living there?

2. Can a person get subpoenaed in order to obtain personal info about that person all done in another state, as the person getting sued does not live in the state the subpoena is in?

The answer to # 1 depends. If you have never set foot in the state in which you have been sued, and have never had any type of contact with a person in that state, it is unlikely that you can be subject to court jurisdiction in that state. The answer depends on the types of contacts you have had with the state or persons in the state.
