reading: 520 (I know I know....:P)
writing: 600

are these scores good? particularly for university of Maryland college park? the math is really good right? I did better than all of my friends on the math

An 1800 is great, and you should be able to get into Maryland University Park; however, they may only be looking at reading and math (which you got a 1200 on), and not writing (as many schools have no started implementing it yet), so it may be in your best interest to try and raise you critical reading score.

Here are the 2006 College-Bound Seniors' Average Scores

Critical reading: 503
Mathematics: 518
Writing: 497

I'd say you did about average.

try U Maryland's website and see if they publish the average SAT scores for last year's incoming freshman class.

try to raise your critical reading score. but even if it doesnt go up to much i still think you could get in.
