Only if the Neo-Conservative media is successful at sedition.
I have never heard of Cris Mathews, but the free and independent media is one of the things that keeps our government responsive to the people.
Is it traitorous for the media to report on corruption by a defense contractor that is suppose to be providing quality equipment to our soldiers, but is instead providing substandard gear and even WWII surplus junk and pocketing the difference. I say that anything that helps the soldiers succeed is patriotic.If a reporter uncovers corruption between a high ranking government official, and a military supplier that results in our boys (and girls ) on the front line being unecessarily exposed to danger so the official and the supplier can make more money, who is the real traitor?
The enemies of democracy hate the media, and they want to control the media, because by controlling the flow of information, they cna control the population. Too many people in the U.S.A. have forgotten the Propaganda battles of the cold war era, and have been conned into believing in a new form of oligarchy.
The mindless drivel that presupposes all media as "Liberal" ( notice that Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, et. al. are part of this "Liberal" media) seems to demonize the liberal concept of individual freedom as something so evil as to make all of America's enemies look like boyscouts.
Friends and Foes, we are being primed for a civil war, the like of which the world has never seen.

Anyone who tries to stifle free speech is guilty of treason and people like yourself should be exiled to China.
You'll love China, they imprison people who speak out against the tyranny of their government.

That would take their rights away and that would be against the American way. I was in the military and I know how its like to not be able to have rights and voice your opinion....and for a military person during a time of war the punishment for treason is death......if that were to apply to the whole US then that would happen to anyone that had a different opinion then the government and that wouldn't make us what we are....

Their punishment should be... having to endure answering questions from small minded idiots like you who aren't smart enough to think for themselves and who advocate retaliation and hate instead of compromise and bi-partisan cooperation.
