i have sofa, love seat, coffee table, end table, and and about 4 boxes of thngs.
How much would this cost on a ballpark basis per month?

the company Public Storage supposedly charges you only $1 for the first month, but after that, i would imagine it would increase. With just the few things you mentioned, i imagine it wouldnt be very much per month, maybe $50-$100 at the most
Plus, if you find a local place you stand to save some money rather than choosing the commerical chains

Call a storage company and ask. Look in the Yellow Pages for U-Haul Storage.
Look around your neighborhood, there may be storage companies, they're all over NYC these days.
