i say audrey. she had such style, grace, kindess, etc. she was charming and cultured and sophisticated. people say marilyn was sexier, but i disagree. audrey was just sexy in a less obvious way. she was vulnerable and girlish which has its own appeal.

both, but for obvious reasons .... they're both on totally opposite sides of the spectrum ...

audrey is classic beauty ... classy, sophisticated, sweet.

marilyn is the epitome of sexy. she was daring, in your face, beautiful. also, i love the fact that she was such a sex symbol even being PLUS SIZED ... in today's standards, she would be considered fat, and YET, today, she's considered one of the most, if not THE sexiest woman to have ever lived. i love her confidence in working her plus sized body.

granted, sexy is a state of mind, and what you find sexy, may not be what i find sexy, but ... someone who is classy, in a lot of cases, is too reserved to be "sexy" so audrey would not fit that category FOR MOST. but again, that doesn't mean YOU can't find her sexy.

but marilyn fits the bill, cause sexy is the way you carry yourself, and she exuded sexiness in everything she did. audrey didn't. as you mentioned ... she was SOPHISTICATED.

i acutally like them both for very different reasons. I prefer Audrey if you are going to make me pick one.

Audrey's style was impeccable. She was glamorous with out even trying. Her clothing always fit her perfectly and was appropriate for any situation. she is the epitome of class, style and elegance that is completely timeless.

Marilyn on the other hand is god's gift to the curvy, voluptuous woman. I relate far better to her, as I am a curvy gal. And really I think that her style is very similar to Audrey's. Though she was a bit more glam than Audrey.

I do think both women exude sex appeal, just in very different ways as you stated. Marilyn was va va voom, in your face sexy. Audrey was more playful and youthful. And both women are sexy.

Audrey's great, but I love Marilyn. She was also vulnerable and girlish, just wrapped in this very voluptous body. She's just such a legend. Very intriguing and sort of privately sad. She was also incredibly smart and a gifted comedienne, but no one really saw past her beauty enough to realize it.
