My daughter has a great amount of ear wax and we've tried over the counter debrox and even a prescription for her doctor. I was wondering if there is anything natural that would help safely?

3.5% hydrogen peroxide is usually the best. Avoid "digging" earbuds into the ear as you might push the wax further into the ear canal and make things more difficult.

Another gentle remedy is warming up a little olive oil and putting a few drops in the ear - one ear at a time!

As ear wax is actually important in maintaining ear health, don't be overzealous in cleaning out ears.

A doctor told my friend to do this and it worked great!
Get a bottle of mineral oil and a syringe like you use for babies' noses. Fill the ear with mineral oil and plug with cotton for half an hour. Then suction it out gently. Refill the ear using the mineral oil and repeat. Once the wax has been softened and removed, put a couple drops of mineral oil in the ear each day to prevent more build-up. This remedy can be used over and over without harming the ear. Just keep everything gentle.

Use chinese ear wax candles, they're the best ones I have used, Ive had problems with wax since i was born! they have natural ingredients such as Pure Bee's Wax, Honey Extract, Pure Essential Oils and Premium Organic Linen. They helped a lot. If your little girl still has problems then syringe is an option (which is really umpleasent! but once done is good for at least six months)

Well, unfortunately you will have to ask her pediatrician to irrigate her ear with a syringe full of warm water and peroxide. That is the only way to successfully clean out the wax. The only reason you cannot do it yourself is because you need a 100cc syringe and you don't just walk into a store and buy one of those. Improvising is not suggested either. Try not to use a Q-tip because all that does is push the wax further into the ear canal impacting it.

My doctor has suggested using regular peroxide and putting drops in the ears. The bubbling will help clean the wax out. I've done it with my boys, and it's never caused a problem.

Moxi Stix!

They are ear candles. You can get them at a local health food store. Also after each use, use peroxide in each ear and drain.

i'll have to go with the mineral oil my mom always used it . she would put the mineral oil in a mug . the mug she placed in a pan of slightly warm water to warm it up a bit. you have to be careful cause too hot you could scald the inner ear. i was always to leary to try it with my daughter. so i took her to our family doctor and had her ears flushed out whenever the wax built up. my mom would disagree with me but isay go to the doctor and have it professionally done.

small amount of peroxide mixed with some room temp. water should help, just flush gently with a syringe.

Maybe a cap full of peroxide in a cup of water.
