I think it is that a lot of people aren't happy with where the current candidates stand on the issues they have set forth and those that have not entered the race have yet to really give their views on the issues so people don't know where they stand and hoping for something refreshing for a change. Also I feel that there are of those who are running that have a "history" with the American public that has been undesirable. People are looking for new scenery so to speak!!

Every was dumb enough to start running way to early to the point that most of us can't stand any of them. The whole John Kerry mistake should of been learned from. The politicians will make alot more mistakes and be exposed

Why?
Because we're Americans
and we just looooove to waste money!
Look at Bush's Iraqi war...
We're spending BILLIONS on killing people
and putting the debt on our future generations...
Yeeeee Haaaaa....yells Bush!

MONEY!
Those who are already in the race are those who have the financial backing required to run.
To say it another way: They have been BOUGHT!
We know that to be a fact. They won't do what YOU want, they will do what those who BOUGHT them want.
Now their task is to convince you that they are what YOU want.
Are you going to fall for it?

cause nobody likes what they know about the people who are running, so the ones who are not in the spotlight yet seem a better choice

In Fred Thompson's case, it is because he is perceived as a strong conservative candidate....he will have some explaining to do about his switching stances on abortion however.
