It's in your contract, for future reference, keep that contract you signed handy.

I believe on my contract it's $150 per phone, I have a family plan with 3 phones. Might be different if you have a different plan.

Call Verizon, they will be able to tell you for sure.

An early termination fee will apply if you choose to end your service before becoming a month-to-month customer, or if we terminate it early for good cause. For service activated prior to 11/16/06, THE EARLY TERMINATION FEE IS $175 PER WIRELESS PHONE NUMBER. For service activated on or after 11/16/06, or for lines of service with minimum terms extended on or 11/16/06, The early termination free is $175, which will be reduced by $5 for each full month toward your term that you.

So why do you guys answer questions if you don't really know what your talking about? Kind of defeats the purpose of this forum doesn't it? How does someone know if they are getting good info or not?

If you don't believe me you can check the source :)

Btw, the site above is a waste of money, WAAAAY more people trying to get out of contracts than people wanting to get in without even getting a brand new phone. Feel free to try though! I think I'm going to start a website like that, its genious!

I was just wondering if you had the plan where Verizon pays for your roaming minutes. If you do then don't cancel just yet. Cell phone companies pay thousands of dollars for roaming charges just to keep their customer. Run their bill up high enough and they'll terminate your service with them. You will not get charged though because it's them kicking you. The only way to get charged is if you end the contract early. Assuming they pay for your roaming minutes, all you really have to do is turn on EVDO "roaming" (this requires a little hacking) and start talking. If you don't have anyone to talk to, call some kind of hotline and leave it overnight. Put down hundreds of thousands of roaming minutes into your service and soon they'll see that in their system and they will termination you early without having to pay the fine. This is how I got out of Verizon. I basically had my minutes paid for by Verizon and avoided early termination fees.

Generally, all cell phone companies have a 200$ disc fee.
