I'm trying to find details on changing a minor's last name in the state of TX. My ex g/f and I just had our final court hearing but did not request name change during that time. Paternity has been proven by DNA test last year. My son, his mother and I would all like to change his last name to mine. Does this have to be petitioned by the mother and taken before a judge again? Or is there another way around this since we all agree it is in the best interest of our son?

You point out your mom is on board with this. Is your father? i don't understand if he's on your existence, yet from time to time this is in many cases an excellent symbolic rejection for some adult males. it might desire to probably reason conflicts/fights/litigation which includes your mom, if he's so susceptible. be certain you get impressive id on your new call. (Drivers license, passport, social secure practices card).
