Yep, I agree. Al- Qaeda did the 9/11 and 7/7 attacks. It is their ideology that continues to radicalise young men and make more suicide bombers. The Taliban is just an extreme entity of a government. Just like the Junta, US military, KGB etc... The Taliban were the law makers, how can they be the rebels if it was their country to begin with. The war is a farce and the true enemies of the world (Al-Qaeda, Osama) are hiding somewhere. The objective of the US military is to kill an entire belief system (Taliban) impossible. The aim should be to have peace talks with the Taliban and to actively seek out Al-Qaeda's ideologies by crushing its corrupt message. The way of fighting terrorism is not by becoming terrorists but development and re-twisting the messages of Al-Qaeda. The US war in Afghanistan has killed 370,000 people The US war in Iraq has killed 1,650,000 people The US involvement in Pakistan has killed 40,000 people How does that help anything, we need to pull all western troops from these countries and then use inteeligent Muslim scholars who deplore terrorism to become the vocal points to the affected youth. There should also be serious development programmes as well as negotiations with the Taliban and other 'belief' system groups.

I certainly am concerned that there will be continuing terrorist activities but I don't consider the recent claims to be any more meaningful than any previous longstanding issues. The simple fact is that Muslim terrorists are constantly looking for ways to do damage and absolutely guaranteed there are many sleeper cells in all western countries. And for sure there will be other successful attacks. They can be decreased but not eliminated.

Sure.....eventually they are going to attack us no matter what we do. Even if we were to completely leave the middle east tommorrow, they would still attack. It is inevidable. They hate us because we arent fundamentalist muslims. The only possible thing we can do is keep them busy by fighting them over there.
However, no matter what we do, no mattter how many attacks we stop, eventually one is going to get through. Also eventually, one of them will get a nuke and it will be set off in one of our cities. Yes, that is pretty scary. Id worry about it more if I lived in one of cities the terrorists consider good targets like NY, San Fransisco, or LA

What a steaming pile of rubbish. We have more fear of being wiped out by global warming. The government wants the people to be afraid because then they'll support the war because they don't want the terrorists to follow us home if we pull out. If we'd reform our immigration and actually do some reasonable profiling and investigations into people who enter the country instead of saying how wrong it is, we wouldn't have any concern. Not all muslims are terrorists but as far as the U.S. is concerned all terrorists have been muslims so don't feed me that happy hippy horseshit about that's wrong. There's nothing to fear but as long as you sheep keep buying it then it's working perfectly.

Since some of the morans feel that Canada doesn't rate, this could be a good thing. We can bring our forces home from Afghanistan. Also, since the only country that has attacked Canada was the US, they were driven back both times, we should stop being the main supplier of oil to the US. The only threat to Canada was and is the US.

If theres any left. they are getting bagged and tagged quick enough.
youve got some good anti terrorist agencies over there so I wouldn't worry to much. Just be vigilant. the youve got more chance of winning the lottery than being caught up in a terrorist plot.

I'm more fearful of the Bush administration's Department of Homeland Security invading my privacy and presuming me to be guilty until proven innocent. Such tyranny and oppressive government is what we need to fear.
Benjamin Franklin once said: "If people fear the government, it is tyranny. If government fears the people, it is liberty." We are in serious danger of losing all our liberties, freedoms and rights as a paranoid government makes us scared of our own shadows. To be free, and to live free, also means having the courage to die free.
As Hitler said, "How fortunate for governments that they people they administer don't think."
Americans don't THINK about what the government is doing to our society. It's turning the U.S. into a police state which will eventually deprive us of all our freedoms. And then we can all wallow in fear, terrified that some "evil empire" will soon swallow us up - and, unfortunately, we will be too yellow-bellied and pusillanimous to do anything except hide. -RKO- 06/19/07

haven't they already? if you mean again.. of course they will.. I honestly believe that the US will be destroyed.. from the inside and the outside. the people of this country have become too sinful and God's wrath will be released on the country who's roots claim to be in him but have uprooted themselves and planted themselves again in poisoned soil..
