I've lived in Northern CA for 10 years and am planning on moving to schaumburg, IL. just for a change of pace. Where would you rather live?

I also lived in Cali only I lived In Dana Point....I am also now a midwesterner and although I miss Cali very much...it has gotten so expensive to live there and too many people. Schaumburg is a great suburb...there is plenty to do there ,and is not all that far from downtown chicago. I worked for a company out of Schaumburg, and I think you will like it there ...I do miss a lot about cali...but I love Chicago

I've been all over CA and I would never leave Chicago for it.. Schaumburg is about half an hour from Chicago.. Suburbs tend to be more peaceful than the big city.. Lol, not just corn and churches here! We have everything.. You should come for a weekend and see how you like it. Just know that we do have all 4 seasons here, lol.. Hot summer & cold winter. And some days it's hot in the winter and cold in the summer, lol.. All in all, it's great! I love it here!!

California for me! I was born and raised in Iowa. I finally moved 3 years ago to Napa Valley and never regretted one moment of it. I'll be danged if I ever move back to the midwest. (Although I've been to Chicago a few times, had fun, but no place I'd want to live. And the weather is horrible.)

schaumburg, IL is your typical suburb of Chicago. Really depends on what you are looking for.

I would rather live in IL except if I had the opportunity to live in Eureka CA.

CALIFORNIA! I've been to Illinois and Indiana, and there is nothing but corn. And farms. And churches. There is not much to do there, and there are a lot more oddly religious people in Illinois.
